A camp slasher with a vibe that reminds you of Disney Channel movies combined with Friday The 13th, a really fun experience but not enough to forget its cliches.

A clever concept, but shaky execution. It’s definitely made for horror fans, with plenty of references and deep cuts I appreciated. Some running gags (Steve the Kayak King, Jamie’s hole-digging skills, the ancient sheriff) really land, while others fall flat — not helped by some wooden performances, oddly including veteran Alyson Hannigan. Horror fans will find a few things to enjoy, but there are plenty of better horror comedies out there.
