It’s striking, certainly, but teasingly elusive when it comes to story resolution.

There is an open-heartedness and gentleness in it, and a sense of style and place that reaches back to Malick and arguably even Mark Twain.

Wildhood is a quiet and beautiful film that captures the power of culture, heritage, and identity. It also effectively uses a multitude of genres to add pacing and tension to what could have been a languid film experience.

Beautiful film. Wildhood is more than just a road trip movie-it's a beautifully intimate exploration of self-discovery, culture, and love. As Link (Phillip Lewitski) and Pasmay (Joshua Odjick) navigate their journey, the film captures every moment with a quiet, poetic honesty that feels both raw and tender. Their chemistry is effortlessly natural, making their evolving bond feel deeply authentic. It's a rare, heartfelt coming-of-age story that makes you feel like you're living it alongside them, every step of the way.
