Critics Consensus

The comic timing of Anna Faris is sharp as always, but it's wasted away in this predictable, boilerplate comedy.

Ally may start out as your typical bubble-headed man-chasing twenty-something dolt but, thankfully, underneath the surface she turns out to be a heck of a lot more than that. Go to Full Review

The film's satirical jabs at people addicted to Facebook and Twitter raises a few smiles in what is otherwise a straight-to-cinemas DVD release. Go to Full Review

Still, it's hard to dislike any vehicle for Faris -- the slob's Marilyn Monroe -- with her gift for dejection and her pliable face, which is like a hastily drawn cartoon. Go to Full Review

Shannon W @RT34273409 7 hrs ago Can be predictable but is a good Chick flick movie See more @RT88676911 1 day ago What's Your Number? Review Rating: 2.5/5 This one is not bad, but it's not my favorite either. It was fun. Some scenes genuinely made me laugh. Chris Evans is charming and carries the film well The chemistry between the leads was decent, and it had some genuinely interesting dialogue that kept me watching But here's my problem with it: The stereotype of women being desperate for a man. Why is it always the same story? A woman who is supposedly "lost" in life, and the only solution is... a man. She can't just be single and happy? She can't just be figuring herself out? No, she needs to find "the one" before she hits some imaginary deadline. It's exhausting, and honestly, it's lazy writing. The random nudity "for comedy." I don't need to see your ass to make me laugh It's cheap. Real comedy comes from intelligence, timing, and clever writing not from throwing naked bodies on screen and calling it humor Comedy is hard to master It won't be mastered through vulgarity. The story tied together well and it was interesting. See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 6 days ago Rotten Tomatoes will not let me post my review.
