One wishes Showalter and his cast would have leaned harder toward the twisty hysteria of something like A Simple Favor (2018) instead of trying to imagine what a Hitchcock movie would be like with less tension and more Chobani product placement. Go to Full Review

There is an intensely stupid twist near the end that makes no narrative sense and is followed by a final reel rug-pull so inconceivably lazy that it inevitably symbolises two fingers casually raised in the direction of the audience. Go to Full Review

The film’s saving grace is its cast, namely Hathaway and Hartnett who find ways to pull more from the material than is actually there. Sadly they can’t pull enough to make up for the film’s lukewarm vision and absurd finish. Go to Full Review

Taylor 3 hrs ago I liked that it was very similar to the book layout, but I wish it was a little more suspenseful. See more Christopher 3 hrs ago I really liked the movie. The biggest note would just be the climax felt very rushed. I blinked and almost missed it. Then in a flash it was over. Loyal book fans probably note the bigger difference, but overall great performances and story telling! See more Rebecca R 4 hrs ago I was really looking forward to this movie. However, it was not a good movie. Dakota’s acting was subpar. She definitely seemed bored. Josh Hartnett’s acting was creepy, not the romantic thriller I was looking forward to watching See more Nicky G. 4 hrs ago A good time watch. Not too complicated or artsy. Just twisty & fun suspense. See more Eddie D 4 hrs ago Ending is a must see! See more Mark 5 hrs ago My partner and I are both interested in psychology and this movie had us on the edge of our seats the whole time. We wish it ended differently but would definitely watch again! For a mature audience though See more Read all reviews
