From start to finish, the film feels distant and oddly hollow, making it difficult to engage with either the story or the characters. The emotional beats feel forced rather than earned, especially the relationship involving Asia, who is meant to be a pivotal figure yet never feels naturally integrated into the narrative. The screenplay is the film’s biggest weakness. The writing lacks clarity and consistency, which ultimately makes the performances feel flat and unconvincing. It’s not that the actors are incapable, but the dialogue and structure give them very little to work with, leaving scenes feeling stiff and uninspired. Direction also feels uncertain, as if the film isn’t quite sure what it wants to say or how it wants to say it. Tonal shifts and underdeveloped ideas make the experience feel disjointed.
