MG_Claymore C @Claymore Sep 20, 2022 Surprising good film. Staring the real guys who fought this battle only a couple years earlier. Hard to believe its nor news reel footage. As a historian, I love this stuff. Made very well. See more Oct 30, 2021 I had never heard of the film before I watched it. I found it an intense and gripping film, not only shot with actual footage (a lot of it), but also 200 veterans from the actual battle itself. It's been added to my list of all time favourite films. NB For Rotten Tomatoes, the film is about the British effort taking Arnhem Bridge, not the American. See more Paul G @RT67423558 Mar 16, 2021 its clearly got value as a recreation of the events shortly after it occurred but i'm sure a standard documentary would have made much more sense and be more watchable. As it is i struggled to finish watching this. See more Jun 27, 2014 Excellent docudrama from 1945 filmed using many of the real locations and actual veterans of the British 1st Airborne Division's assault on Arnhem. See more Sep 26, 2011 Interesting war movie just shot after WWII. Its old, its black and white but it is definatly better and more authentic than 'a bridge too far' See more Read all reviews
