A raw and very real portrayal of the drug and gang culture which is present not only in Minnesota but in the far reaches of Native America as well. However, the title itself is misleading. The seventh fire and the seventh generation sum up a movement and prophecy within the ojibwe culture about revilatization of culture, well-being of the earth & all life. The film portrayed indigenous life as we've seen portrayed in T.V and film since Buffalo Bill; helpless and unredemable. With a title such as "The Seventh Fire" I expected much more.
