A cinematic epic fit for the biggest screens, The Odyssey proves with technical precision and unrestrained grandeur that there’s no filmmaker quite like Christopher Nolan to steer Odysseus’ voyage home.

Like the filmmaker’s last work, ‘Oppenheimer,’ ‘The Odyssey’ has a downbeat, apocalyptic bent—but, unlike ‘Oppenheimer,’ or any previous Nolan film, the new film is also centrally about what human beings owe one another. Go to Full Review

Hoyte van Hoyterna as cinematographer does wonders with the various settings for the film, and Ludwig Goransson’s music is a highlight. You could close your eyes and just listen. Go to Full Review

I’m delighted with this rendition of The Odyssey. It’s effortlessly inclusive, it’s a grand, epic story, and it’s also a heartfelt reckoning of humanity facing our own flaws. Yes, the women deserved better, but the performances are excellent. Go to Full Review

matthew a 2h imax 70mm is amazing See more Josh 2h The best movie of the decade See more Sharda 2h It’s was great. Good action and story telling. I love that they add so many star actress in it. See more Meh-Plus 3h Overall, it was entertaining but underwhelming. Borderline Epic cinematography, but didn’t quite get there IMO. I just felt that there wasn’t quite enough meat on the character-development bone..none of the roles were spectacular, though John Leguizamo was the best. I read the book so I know the story, but I kept hoping the next scene would be special, yet none were. It felt too modern and “American?” perhaps, in its dialogue, emotes, and interaction. See more Shay 3h Peak Christopher Nolan. See more Dennis G 4h Great movie and action - Damon is fantastic maybe just a little too long. Really enjoyed it and recommend seeing.
