These are two spectacularly damaged men who gradually become friends while attempting to survive a case that would be too complicated for Sherlock Holmes and far too stupid for Batman. Five stars. I laughed. I yelled at the television. I briefly considered becoming a private investigator. Then I remembered I have no investigative skills and would probably lose a fight with a coat rack. See this movie immediately. It is funny, filthy, violent, charming, beautifully stupid, and approximately 97% more entertaining than anything has a right to be. Definitely one of Ryan’s funniest films even though he’s great and funny in most this one is definitely a top 5. Great film.
