The Lonely Crowd may be rough around the edges, but its charm lies in that scrappiness. It is engaging, atmospheric and driven by a clear understanding of how awkwardness, longing and danger can collide. Go to Full Review Jonita Davis The Black Cape (Medium) Jul 28, 2026

Aashish B @RT37075181 Jul 18, 2026 The Lonely Crowd is a mixed bag as a suspense film. Its pacing swings between a slow, disconnected opening that struggles to establish the premise and action sequences that feel rushed. While Peter and Ashley share strong chemistry from the start, Peter's character is let down by Adam Wesley's flat, emotionless performance, particularly during key action scenes. Taylor Anne Danehower, as Ashley, delivers a standout performance with depth and conviction, ultimately carrying the film. The ending, centered around Jake as the villain and Ashley's sister's betrayal, aims for a twist but feels underdeveloped and unsatisfying. Cinematographer Garrett Stotko & director David St. Clair excel with camera work, editing, and visual storytelling. However, the sound design is inconsistent, with scenes like the storage locker undermined by oddly comedic background music. Overall, The Lonely Crowd has flashes of quality, uneven pacing, and an underwhelming finale keep it from reaching its potential See more Read all reviews
