No terceiro filme de Gregg Araki, a dupla funciona como uma espécie de Thelma & Louise gay: enquanto o clássico de Ridley Scott mostra duas mulheres cansadas da vida, aqui vemos dois rapazes do início dos anos 1990 que já se sentem condenados. Jon tenta manter alguma ordem enquanto atrasa um trabalho; Luke sobrevive de pequenos golpes e programas. A rotina metódica de Jon é chacoalhada pelo caos de Luke, mas mesmo assim seguem sem destino. Mike Dytri e Craig Gilmore entregam boas atuações, embora a narrativa acabe presa em um ciclo repetitivo de brigas e reconciliações, sem evolução clara. Para Jon, a viagem é fuga, até o retorno para o tratamento; para Luke, é apenas a continuação do abismo. A amiga de Jon pouco acrescenta, ocupando espaço com um subplot desinteressante. A total dog egg of a film that was only ever produced to give pre-internet closet gay guys something to wank over on late night TV. Absolutely appalling. More than a fully realized film, it comes across as an experiment with occasional flashes of interesting ideas. See more 05/15/2015 I admit I've a very personal connection to this film. I saw it in my early 20's when I was at my most political regarding AIDS. For out queer men who were either in their 20s or 30's this movie was a sort of angry road trip movie that was both cathartic and tragic. Though it is very low budget and has more than a few flaws - it does deserve mention for capturing a cultural moment in American Queer Culture.
