When it comes to Brandon Slagle films, be prepared to be thrown into the wild. Immediately. There’s no slow burn to endure with The Flood as we are delightfully chucked into a terrible Louisiana storm with limited escape.

This reference Gremlins and get bonus points for that . A Female Sheriff and lead character bonus points . Room full with nasty Gators and they're hungry . The strangest team up ever or strangest alliance ever put together. Outside a very nasty rainfall from a hurricane. All equals one great movie . Only downfall is bad CGI for the Gators, but it's not a big distraction . When everything else is great .

I gave an extra star cause I have a thing for blondes. The CGI for the alligators looks like a early 2000’s movie The acting is average but when you’ve clicked on a movie that has convicts and alligators do you really care? The plot is a good base for a great movie, it just isn't.

My one star goes to the attempt of mixing it up when it comes to the usual "big monsters" theme. But it fails to execute almost every single thing it tries.
