Five friends set out on one last adventure along Thailand's stunning coast, eager for a final thrill before life in the real world begins. They sign up for a guided swim through a remote cave system known as The Devil's Mouth, a natural wonder that's as breathtaking as it is unforgiving. Deep inside the labyrinth of narrow waterways, their journey takes a terrifying turn when they discover that a freak storm the week before flooded the caves with sea life. The creatures died in the fresh water, but something survived... and it's hunting them now--fast, silent, and deadly. Every corridor they round is overflowing with anxiety, and every wrong turn becomes a deadly encounter. As panic spreads and their sense of direction slips away, the group begins to fracture. Trust erodes, fear takes over, and survival becomes a savage game. In the suffocating darkness, every choice could be their last as they learn that to make it out alive, sacrifices must be made.

It’s been hyped as the first fresh-water shark movie. Sad to say, that’s the only thing fresh about it. Go to Full Review

It’s just aggressively forgettable instead of memorably awful, which is almost worse. Go to Full Review

It’s the shark’s appearances, surprisingly, that lack bite. Denied a point of view or much in the way of a closeup, the CG killer never feels a particularly distinctive or palpable presence, while its lunges take on a fairly predictable pattern. Go to Full Review

The Devil’s Mouth is a good time for genre fans who simply want to enjoy the ride of well-crafted survival horror. Go to Full Review

Has the ingredients for a decent survival thriller but almost none of them are developed particularly well. Go to Full Review

This film combines the suspense and gore of shark attacks, the light drama of college-aged relationships, and the draw of a beautiful foreign locale. Go to Full Review

Jay L @Jay.Livin 17h This movie is basically a ripoff of “47 meters down uncaged” with a slightly higher budget. Even though the lighting is horrible and you basically stare at a dark screen most of the time it starts off pretty good and keeps you engaged most of the time. The writing and directing could’ve been better overall though. See more Megan H @RT22474834 22h I love shark attack movies so I enjoyed this. It's obviously not about to win a bunch of oscars or anything but it's a fun movie to watch. Dumb at times? Sure. But if you like survival movies and just want an entertaining watch then I would recommend. Don't get hung up on the "realisticness" and just have a good time. It's good for what it is. See more Bradley H @beh84 23h This film is visually so dark and impossible to see at home. See more Wendel L @BRZRKR 23h Direção: Ok Atuação: Ok Roteiro: Ok Caracterização: Ok Soundtrack: Ok See more Kirsty H @RT80394270 1d I don’t know why I watched it but I did watch the whole thing. I didnt think the shark was quite as bad cgi as everyone says. The people are insufferable though it is sweet relief when the inevitable happens. They all get over seeing their best friends/etc die in about 25 seconds. The film managed to drain any horror/excitement despite there being everything there for the taking. Just dont let your stupid mates make decisions on holiday guys. A lesson for us all. Descent has its faults but save yourself the annoyance of this and film just watch that again instead!! See more Non school P @RT47853434 1d So bad. "Turn off your flashlight so the bull shark can't see you"...yeah that bad. It wasn't a B movie...it's an F. B movies with low budgets are supposed to redeem with compelling, likeable characters, and good dialogue. AI could probably write a better script and engage basal human interest. F movies are usually good for a hate watch but this one wasn't compelling enough to beat the real antagonist: boredom and phone scrolling. I was rooting for the Thai guide (he's great in White Lotus S3) until the lazy writers forgot to write him a final scene and just put him out with a lazy scream sound effect. After that, I was actively rooting for the shark and they couldn't even get that right to pull off the twist ending that might redeem this sh bag by lighting it all on fire. If you enjoy an entitled, awful team of oversharing, self-absorbed, emotive NPCs that don't listen to anyone, barely even each other, here it is. See more Read all reviews
