McCormack wrote and produced the film, and does her own singing, but Sugar Daddy's not just a showcase for her eccentric, electric screen presence; Colm Feore gives one of the best performances of his career as one of her clients.

This movie was bad. The main actress is not very good and at times it can be really annoying. She's supposed to be some kind of musician who's trying to hone her craft while taking a side job as a fancy escort. There's some interesting things in the movie that keep you engaged for a while, but then it all comes back to how annoying the main characters egotistical selfish little girl attitude is. Something that really cracked me up in this movie was after she was fooled into having sex with this dude she went out with, he gave her a check for $100,000 and she asks him " did you like my singing"? Like a little 5-year-old girl. First of all who would pay her that much money? Then she gets her daddy's records and puts them in a circle and gets all drunk and dances around and like a third of the movie is her doing that at the end trying to be all artistic. This movie smells like cheese.

I loved it !!! Beautifully made , great acting . Relevant to young authentic woman struggling between self expression and basic live principles. I think this is very underrated movie.

Well, it's not a female empowerment story that's for sure. It's one long ad for an old man hook up website and it's too PG 13 and not enough R which leaves it in the middle of the road. When you call your film, 'Sugar Daddy' the material should push the envelope at least a little. Despite a heartfelt performance from Kelly McCormack, who also wrote and produced, we're not given much of a reason to like any of the characters. This film needed another pass. Final Score: 2/10

An Interesting take but it completely misses. I watched the entire thing and never gave a crap about "D". There is no growth or meaningful arc for anyone in this movie. Skip this one.
