Sgt. Tom Hardy (Bruce Willis) denounces his partner, Jimmy Detillo (Robert Pastorelli), for brutally interrogating a suspect. After Jimmy falls to his death from a bridge, Tom is transferred from homicide to the river rescue team. Two years later, the bodies of murdered young women begin turning up in the water -- all of whom were previously romantically linked to Tom. With the help of his new partner, Jo Christman (Sarah Jessica Parker), Tom sets out to find the killer.

A trama acompanha Tom Hardy, um detetive marcado por sua obsessão em capturar um serial killer que atua dentro de sua própria cidade — e, pior, dentro do próprio sistema policial. Disappointing to the point where even the ‘90s nostalgia didn’t make it good, Striking Distance is a trite, cheesy, and cliché-ridden action thriller that feels like a lousy mashup of better films. It was nice to see Bruce Willis in his prime though.

فلم جيد و قصة جيدة لكن تنفيذها غلط لا يوجد كيمياء بين الشخصيات منذ البداية قلت يمكن مع تطور الاحداث بقت الشخصيات باردة و ممله البطل مندفع غاضب متوتر علاقة رومانسية مملة اخراج ضعيف لاعتماد على كارزما البطل فقط يجعل المشاهد يشعر بالملل لا يتعاطف معه لكن على العموم لا نبخس حق الممثلين الاخرين و الاشخاص الذين ساعدوا بهذا العمل حتى يوصلنا نقول عنه جيد هو اكشن مندفع
