Nathan J. @TribianiRamoray Oct 31, 2025 Rating: 7.4/10 The Return of COVID is a solid, satisfying conclusion to the Post COVID saga, delivering a smart and hilarious resolution with a focus on the core friendship of the four boys. Highlights - Clever Resolution: The screenplay provides a mature resolution with a powerful message about changing your reaction to the past. - Fantastic Payoffs: The special delivers hilarious payoffs for the cast, including Butters as Victor Chaos and Cartman's karmic fate. - Balanced Plot: The special balances a complicated plot with sharp jokes and absurd storytelling. Criticisms - Convoluted Plot: The plot is messy and chaotic, juggling multiple storylines and timely but dated NFT jokes. - Limited Accessibility: The story is impenetrable for casual viewers, relying on having seen Post COVID. Verdict The Return of COVID is a strong, satisfying conclusion to a South Park project, delivering a smart, heartfelt message about friendship and letting go of bitterness, with humor and cynicism intact. See more Read all reviews
