Slender Man essentially feels like a movie created from a how-to guide to horror. Step one: apply drab color palette with hazy blues, greens, and neutrals. Step 2: make sure all set pieces look like generic, creepy locations.

I really wish I could like this movie, but I can’t This was such a disappointment to me Cinematography is way too dark Characters are dumb And the plot barely has any plot I really wish that this would be a lot better I really hope more slender man movies come out though only if they’re made by creative writers

An interesting premise based on the original internet story by Victor Surge and its wide spread popularity, but is very sadly drenched by poor and goofy effects, cliché scares, a confusing direction of the story, and it focusing too much on how popular the character is rather than the character itself.

The movie literally makes no sense, the actors didn't follow up with the rules of summoning the slenderman and somehow still summoned him, it wasn't scary at all. Slenderman barely makes an appearance, the movie hardly tried to make slender man how he is portrayed originally. And then when the girls tried to get their friend back, they had to sacrifice random things like a hat and a picture. the movie is just very cringe and was so confusing the entire time.
