Dwayne Johnson is as charismatic as ever, playing a vulnerable but determined father trying to save his family from a burning mega-structure. The vertigo-inducing stunts are thrilling, the visuals are spectacular, and the pacing keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's highly unrealistic, but completely entertaining. See more Dwayne B @708db0 Jun 12 I am getting sick of all these " reviewers " mabye if you'd stop dissecting this movie like a frog in a biology class you'd see it for what it is .I've seen some reviews call it a die hard in a skyscraper, well I've personally never seen die hard but after watching this movie Im thinking about watching it ,if its anything like it, im currently writing this while watching it so I have first hand experience, yes I know that Dwayne johnson is in WAY to many movies and I perfred him asking us to smell what hes cooking on wwe , but the reviewers should listen to his theme song and " know there dam role " you can call it a bad movie and put a snot symbol but what's going to happen when someone skim past you ....nothing because people look at reviews once then go watch it or not anyway im done rambling, skyscraper is a wonderful movie one of my favorites of the rock its genric yes but entertaining as hell !!pardon my grammar and punctuation See more Blue T @NK2011 Jun 3 It was a predictable movie with Dwayne Johnson a.k.a The Rock in it, yes, but it was also quite a fun flick. See more Mitch S @SwagoDiego2k Jun 1 I just am so fatigued by this style of film. I am fatigued by the rock. He is the same man in every film with I think at the time of me writing this only one real exception to that. This is arguably one of the most the rock movies ever made. The writing is absurd. The decisions that the characters make are baffling and incredibly stupid. How things happen are also just absurd and how the lack of things, lack of consequences is simply absurd. It was everything wrong with modern action movies. The plot armor is so thick and prevalent that you know the entire time nothing, absolutly nothing bad will happen to the main character, AKA The Rock. It's boring. No stakes are felt. I knew how it would play out with no doubt in my mind. The ending was stupid and lacked logic. No way that sprinkler system would have worked the entire building would have been toast.
