Vance M @RT09384766 Jul 4 The beginning had good social commentary and suspenseful pacing, and the ending was poetic in a way. But the 80% in between included too many bizarre decisions. I understand people make dumb mistakes, and that's a trope of the horror genre. In fact there was some solid decision-making and good survival choices made in this movie alongside the dumb decisions. What broke immersion for me and drags my review down was how frequently characters didn't respond to situations in a way that was believable. Ex: I understand that in the zombie genre, writers will avoid using the word "zombie" so they can create their own world. That's fine. But when the infected people are black-veined, grey-skinned, red-eyed, foaming at the mouth, growling, contorted, and sprinting toward you, it's not a believable response to be like "Hey, buddy! You okay?". And that happened like 6 times. Maybe the artists should have made the infected still look like normal people for the writing to be more believable. With movies from other areas & recommendations, it feels right to discover more of the not so mainstream movies out of there. Now, I have started to watch the franchise that is "Train to Busan" - in chronological order. In the chronological order, I am starting with the prequel that is "Seoul Station". To start off with, I have just loved the animation to it: it is 2D with elements of 3D staying together & unsivved as compared to adult animated sitcoms. It feels so surreal with realistic movement & handheld like shots. The adventure story is excitement: we have a group of people, who escape in different by themselves cooperating survive. They were together: because they har all survived a Zombie apocolypse - do not leave homeless people alone before it is too late. I just love pandemic movies centered around very few who survived. See more Tyler T @Filbus Dec 23 Great blend of 2D and 3D animation, good zombie designs, great social commentary both before and after the zombie outbreak, and it adds upon the zombie rules established by Train to Busan. However, this movie does have its flaws. 1: None of the protagonists shut any doors. 2: The main human antagonist doesn't even try to run away from the main protagonist as she turns into a zombie while he attempts to sexually assault her. 3: Nobody pays attention or has any real survival instinct.
