These gags are hardly the height of inspiration, but it could be that people laugh at them because they're not as pathetic as a character having a penis jabbed through his head like an ice pick.

Scary Movie’s jokes can be hit, miss, or downright offensive; but enough of them land to make for an enjoyable watch. The movie shines brightest with the jokes that most resemble the absurdism of spoofs like Airplane and The Naked Gun.

You can debate the consistency of the quality of humor, but what you can’t debate is the pace of the humor. The jokes per minute is strong in this movie, and even if one bit doesn’t land, there will be another one that will in about a minute.

Scary movie is a movie directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans. It’s a parody of Scream, the horror movie. This film stars great actor like Dave Sheridan or Shawn Wayans. There is many main characters, all friends in high school. A group of teenagers is chased by a mysterious killer after hiding a deadly accident, and we get fastly into it. The plot is very obvious, but that’s why it’s really funny. The movie has a really cheap production with bad CGI, but that’s also why it’s laughable. The photography of the movie want’s to be good but it’s missed on purpose, and that’s also why it’s laughable. It’s a parody, so the acting is really poor, again on purpose. It’s not natural or stunning at all! The plot is really confusing, and it’s again on purpose but it’s hilarious. Generally, I find this movie quite funny and fascinating. I recommend to watch this movie with friends or family, so you can all laugh together. If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re missing a chance to laugh.

Es una película absurda como divertida. Es una sátira a Scream, pero que aprovecha bastante bien los estereotipos y los tan comunes huecos argumentales. Cuenta con actores excelentes y diálogos que se vuelven emblemáticos. Simplemente una película que marcó un muy buen inicio de toda una franquicia. Recomendadísima para aquellos que les gustan aquellas películas en las que se burlan de todo, sátiras y parodias aunque deben tener en cuenta que es una película burda y boba. Una vez aclarado eso, véanla bajo su propio riesgo.
