05/30/2019 a retro parody of sports movies, this film takes non-sensical humor to new heights. this movie doesn't take itself seriously at all. Canadian style humor very similar to Trey Park and Matt Stone's movies Baseketball and Orgasmo. some mild nsfw words but no nudity. See more 04/25/2019 I first saw this movie when waking up in sweats at 4am during a hot summer night. I walked into the living room to see a man skating down a path in short shorts and wooing ladies like a god. I sat down, for I was hooked. There was not one moment for the feast of this movie where my eyes left the screen. I was mesmerized, almost put in a trance. I found this movie to be unspeakable profound and well written beyond all levels of a standard comedy. There is not a pedestal high enough for this movie. Pat Thornton & Andrew Bush were the highlights. Wasted Jonathan Torrens (uncredited on IMDB) in a single scene 21min in ("More salt than I would normally use"). I HATE most films labeled "Comedy", and with good reason. It's the only genre that out-performs "Horror" with astonishingly poor contributions, but Roller Town is different. I gave this film 4-Stars, not solely as a "Comedy", but in overall quality. I watched this with 3 people on a Saturday night with nothing else to do. 4 years later we all still make references to the material, instantly recognize all of them, and laugh.
