The songs of Journey, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and other artists underscore a tale of big dreams in Hollywood. Soon after hopping off a bus from the Midwest, aspiring singer Sherrie Christian immediately finds herself in trouble. Coming to her rescue is Drew, a bar-back at the legendary club the Bourbon Room. Not a big fan of this one, but was very entertained and taken back to my youth with all the rock music featured by JOURNEY, FOREIGNER, PAT BENATAR, TWISTED SISTER, REO SPEEDWAGON and others. One of Tom Cruise's best OTT performances (on a par with Tropic Thunder...yes, he was in that) and entertaining throughout if you're an 80's rock fan (and a bit before as well). Main characters were a bit light but highlight for me was Catherine Zeta jones channeling Pat Benatar with a few Michael Jackson thriller moves mixed in, awesome! He nails Def Leppard’s Pour Some Sugar On Me. They were there when the scene was filmed and absolutely approved. Julianne Hughes is beautiful and her vocals are amazing.
