After returning home to England, aristocrat Robin of Loxley learns that the evil Sheriff of Nottingham has seized his family estate. He soon joins forces with Friar Tuck and Little John -- a fierce Arabian warrior who wants to put an end to the Crusades. Armed with arrows and dubbed Robin Hood, Loxley leads a band of oppressed rebels in a daring plan to rob the Sheriff of his money and take away his power.

It's silly stuff, so insubstantial that even after any vicarious thrills over the medieval one percent getting shafted, the viewer is likely to feel he or she is the one being fleeced.

I look at many of these reviews and can’t help but wonder what movie they were watching. However I do know that when I watched this movie I get a sense of thrill and excitement. The plot of this movie is very in depth and the way tension builds overtime in this storyline is amazing. This take on the tale of Robin Hood is very intriguing and I would love this idea of Robin Hood being not just the person but also the people to be expanded upon. The writers of this movie did amazing as well as the actors and director, whether it may be the amazing special effects or the emotion portrayed in the acting this movie is raw and authentic showing effort in the creation and story building.

Incredible waste of money and what we can only trust hidden nascent talent. (Jamie Foxx, bad on you!). All the CGI and modern costumes aimed at the pre-teens & those craving some kind of techno cartoon fix. And even they deserve something better than this super sonic hyped up, ironically boring mess.

I admit my late night viewing includes some ropey films, it doesn't mean I've lost my critical capabilities - just that I've suspended them while I'm writing. It is rare that a film is so bad that I switch channels and head off to review it. The scene with people entering a threatening situation with bow and arrows, only for a gatling crossbow to launch multiple arrows through the roof stretch my imagination to breaking point... I assumed there was little point hanging on for a hint of McCarthyism. How do films like this find backers?

Maybe stylish, but dumb as a bag of rocks. I have no idea why they don't just remake this as a modern movie, (Ye Olde Draft Notice????) because that is what they wanted to do here. 300 was more outlandish but still felt more believable. The Costner Robin Hood was cheesy too, but WAY better than this. Too bad because I usually enjoy watching Foxx and Kingsman dude.
