you got the recipe for an anthesis of a non serious zombie movie: new York, rats, drag queens, a "straight white" guy from Stanton island, a theater (where most of the movie takes place), and social media craze. Not one scene more than 15 seconds can have a serious undertone.

Haven’t had this much fun at the movies in a long time. I cannot wait to see what’s next from Tina Romero. Loved all the nods to her father’s work as well. Also loved the fact they used some of the Day of the Dead score. This was everything I wanted it to be. Go see this.

Watched only to see George Romero’s daughter (Tina) make her film writing and directing debut. It’s a horror comedy with over the top drag queens etc so what did you really think it was going to be? Nice references and cameos to the Romero zombie films makes it worthy of a visit.
