The discovery of a clue to mankind's origins on Earth leads a team of explorers to the darkest parts of the universe. Two brilliant young scientists lead the expedition. Even if the movie's logic ultimately spirals down into a vortex of hysteria, horror and hokum, I enjoyed the bulldozer intensity of the climax, which barely keeps a lid on the crackpot cult movie that's wrestling for the soul of this... blockbuster.

Yeah, I love the film. It’s a big budget version of a stupid 80s alien-rip-off. That’s how I view it. It’s not canon, obviously. It’s a rip-off film like Galaxy of Terror but made by an immensely talented filmmaker (not storyteller).

A very unique take on the Alien franchise, backed by a great cast with powerhouses like Idris Elba, Michael Fassbender, and Charlize Theron. A well deserved prequel to what we would know as the Alien franchise and the Xenomorphs as a whole.

I quite like this film. I'm surprised it didn't get higher ratings but I thought it was pretty good and entertaining. I think it's success for me was partially due to its cast, I like Idris Elba, Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender. I like engineers look too I think that did great on design and the graphics. There was some scenes and incidents where it was kinda stupid and bad decision making with some of the characters but overall I like the plot, execution and the visual effects so it was great to me. I've seen it a few times now and I'd definitely watch again.
