While recent winners like All Of You have proven there’s still juice in the classic friends-to-lovers template, watching People We Meet On Vacation feels more like ordering a sparkling tropical cocktail and getting served tap water. Go to Full Review

A strong supporting cast — Lukas Gage, Molly Shannon, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jameela Jamil and Lucien Laviscount – ups the entertainment value. Since rom-coms have been a bit blah of late, this one will satisfy that itch even if it’s no gamechanger. Go to Full Review

If you put this on, on a weekend afternoon, you will be fine. It is pleasant to watch. But the things that made the book special, I think, are almost impossible to preserve in a two-hour movie. Go to Full Review

People We Meet on Vacation portrays the feeling of exploring the world with people we love and dealing with the painful part of falling in love. It’s scary, but it’s all worth it in the end. Go to Full Review

@SarahStyle 1h This was so disappointing. This COULD have been an amazing movie. But the writing and dialogue were so nails on chalkboard bad, they took a really good opportunity and whiffed it. The script was basically phoned in. The characters interactions and relationships were so flimsy and baseless you could feel your brain grasping to understand the characters unsubstantiated dialogue and interactions. Honestly it feels like this script was written by CHATGPT. So cheesy, so saccharin, so inane. You find yourself scratching your head grasping to understand how this even got made? Wasn’t there several levels of filtration this needed to go through and not anyone was like this script is shitty, brutally unfunny and just….NO. Someone??? Anyone?? See more Baby V @anonymous255 1d supports micro-cheating in a way and the term rebounding in a relationship. The plot is also kinda corny and predictable, almost like a recycled classic movie. I hate that as a person but kudos to the actors for making a good job acting. See more Scott W. @she31957 2d Just fun! Must watch. See more Irene A @irenebarrios 2d So, it would have been helpful for me to know that they adopted a dachshund at the end of the movie. It was your classic friends to lovers film but I feel like they missed the main point of the movie— their wiener dog. And they named him Kenny G which I feel like could’ve been a cuter name personally. And they only showed him twice— once on the floor and once when they picked him up. Honestly I wish I knew there was a wiener dog, I would’ve just fast forwarded to the ending. 3/5. See more Marissa W. @boredDJpanda 3d Predictable but cute. Enjoyed the montages of the places they visit and felt like the acting and chemistry was good. Enjoyable fluffy romcom. See more Andrew M. @amcculley22 4d Wow that was bad. What a waste of time, super corny, not good at all… good sounds track I hope they take it off Netflix See more Read all reviews
