Critics Consensus

No need to fasten your seatbelts; alleged thriller Paradise Highway leads a talented ensemble through a predictable, seat-numbing ride.

The script does almost nothing to build up to the revelation at the end – and the human trafficking angle feels icky.

...neither brutal enough to play as an exploitation thriller, nor enough of a world-building deep dive into trucking and trafficking to measure up against similar and superior dramas like What Alice Found and Honey Bee.

Binoche, Grillo and – especially – Freeman, all act as though they can't wait for the ordeal to be over. After two hours of Paradise Highway, you will sympathise.

Juliette Binoche is unfortunately miscast as a gruff truck driver who goes on the run with a child trafficking victim in this tedious and tacky movie that is ineptly made on every single level. Paradise Highway leads to a hellish road of lousy filmmaking.

Movie had a great story line. Acting was great. The only thing is, I would have liked to see a little more action.

Wish I could tell you that the partisan leftwing critics are wrong. In this case they’re not. Its just not very good.

I don't know how they got big name actors for this mediocre script about a serious subject. So many implausible things, yet the ending was pretty predictable.

Slow moving but watchable even though the subject matter is abhorrent.

I liked it. Juliette Binoche and Morgan Freeman were great in their roles. I highly recommend for drama/suspense thriller. I especially enjoyed the process of morality by main character Sally through her relationship development with the young girl.
