Blake- N @PBSAniDom 5d On Ice (1935) is one of the most entertaining Mickey Mouse shorts ever made. Even after all these years, the animation remains lively, creative, and full of personality. The winter setting gives the cartoon a unique charm that makes it stand out among many classic Disney shorts. What I enjoy most is how every character gets a chance to shine. Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and the rest of the cast create a perfect mix of comedy and energy. The timing of the gags is excellent, and the humor still works surprisingly well today. The animation is especially impressive for its era. The skating sequences are smooth, expressive, and packed with detail. The snowy atmosphere adds warmth and fun, making the short feel both relaxing and exciting at the same time. Overall, On Ice is a perfect example of why Mickey Mouse cartoons became classics. It is funny, charming, and endlessly rewatchable. Nearly everything works, from the animation to the comedy. I happily rate this wonderful short a 9/10. See more Read all reviews
