John R @RT70140724 6d (To all the creatives who worked on this series: I have so much respect for your craft; I see the quality of your contribution. Respect.) This series is outright ruinous to the story, the franchise, and the brand. It quickly became a crescendo of nonsensical situations and outlandish decisions. Characters' character became situationally contorted beyond recognition, deeply inconsistent, and increasingly trite. It's as if the writing and directing became exhausted with the first plot difficulty and decided to solve them all by referencing the worst of 80s "drama" television. The series desperately attempts to steal legitimacy from the proper lore with an embarrassing volume of flashbacks, some full clips from the prequels. With each attempt to lash the story to canon, the authors shred the beloved pages instead. Here's the worst of it: this was all avoidable. The defects *begin* with the plot. The flaws are glaring. All of this could have been fixed before the first take. Tragic. See more Richard L @RT42013425 Jul 30 The worst writing and direction of any Star Wars show ever. Its so bad I think even the Acolyte may have been better as that show did not ruin any original characters. This show ignores the canon story telling, looks like it was filmed by some high school students and just felt and looked small. The costume and designs for the characters was terrible, the Inquisitors looked like bad cosplayers. Chow should not be able to touch Star Wars ever again. Any behind the scenes for this show should have just been everyone apologizing for this travesty. See more Yvngxbull813 G @RT00684792 01/07/2025 A Great Addition to the Star Wars Saga I really enjoyed the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+. It does a great job diving into what happens after Revenge of the Sith and answered a lot of questions I’ve always had. Seeing Obi-Wan deal with the aftermath of everything he lost and figuring out his role in protecting the future was done really well. One thing I wasn’t expecting but really appreciated was getting to see more of a young Princess Leia. The show gave us a glimpse into what her life was like growing up as an Organa and some of the challenges she faced. It was a nice touch that added more depth to her story. And let’s talk about Darth Vader—those encounters between him and Obi-Wan were some of the best moments of the series. As a Star Wars fan, it’s always a joy to see more of Vader, and this series did an awesome job showing both his raw power and the conflict underneath. Overall, the series hit the right notes for me. The action, the story, and the way it connects to the bigger Star Wars timeline were all on point. If you’re a fan, this is something you shouldn’t miss. See more Jeanine A @RT72348579 09/21/2024 Not very exciting. Not much humor, or not so funny humor. Ewan McGregor was great, but he had poor lines. Boring dialogue See more iDream T @RT07548572 08/09/2024 Hands down the worst of all Star Wars series. It's got about as much depth and flavor as diet tofu. The writing is lame. The acting is awful. The directing is nauseating. And the fight sequences are weak and pathetic. Chow says she wanted to tell "her" story. What? The only good thing about this trainwreck is that it mercifully ends in one season. See more Read all reviews
