Alex Gibney, Musk’s director, is fascinated by people who invent and then believe their own stories, and Musk’s is a whopper, nearly four hours long. (Settle in, because it’s worth it.)

Mr. Gibney provides a useful overview of an eventful life but frequently veers off-track into bristling hyperbole.

A very comprehensive and well researched expose. The only dig is the length. At 3-3/4 hours, this is almost like its subject…too much.

The challenge of a documentary is making it interesting enough for you to want to watch. Absolutely accomplished. Clever framing. and clever communication. I knew a lot of this, but I was still flabbergasted. When you see real people talking instead of reading some tweet or something on other social media, it’s a lot more real.
