The sheer amount of suffering the characters endure is intensely painful and deeply heartbreaking to sit through. ​The core concept is incredible and the way it is executed takes things to a whole other level. The brutality and psychological weight are pushed so far that it becomes genuinely hard to handle. even while appreciating how brilliantly made it is. ​It stands as a powerful and great piece of cinema that pushes human endurance to its absolute limit. Like the Terrifier movies, this is just violence and gore and titilation to see how far the envelope can be pushed. See more Timothy P @timop1919 May 18 Not boring and left me curious throughout as far as what would happen next and what was actually going on... but way too dark and disturbing for me personally. It's one of those movies that make me question if there is any point to being alive when there is so much real evil in the world. I would actually love that type of movie if it resolved with having some sort of meaning or hope, but there was none from this, just the realization that the world and humanity are inherently evil. See more Justin M @RT98482239 May 16 It really wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I expected. I’ve seen worse in other horror movies. I actually thought Hostel was worse. Good storyline. Well made. Good acting. Pretty good ending. It was certainly pretty hard to watch at times. I had to look away a couple times because I felt so bad for the people but overall I was pleasantly surprised. Unlike a lot of other gory horror movies it actually had an original, unique, thought provoking concept behind it that tied everything together and made it all make sense, which I found refreshing. It isn’t just gratuitous gore trying to pretend to be something else - like the Saw movies, etc. See more Read all reviews
