Jeffrey P @vanillavoodoo1 Sep 21, 2026 The preview is interesting, the first five minutes are intriguing and then... oh... it’s a bait & switch, this is gonna suck. Might have worked better without the found footage p.o.v., it was unnecessary and made it all seem too secondhand, but maybe not unnecessary because the resolution and conclusion that droned on for ten minutes weren’t unnecessary but still left a lot to be desired. The acting was good and the plot had a lot of promise, but half way through the movie the urge to just shut it off was strong. It became unfortunately too boring too quickly with not enough action or twists to keep me invested. It would been really cool to explore more about what was causing the blackouts and the lore behind it, the concept made sense but I was still left with a ton of questions. Was excited to check this one out too- could be for you, definitely wasn’t for us. See more Chris J @chridtggrvt Aug 4, 2026 It’s okay but not good. Plenty of unpredictable stuff happens which does make it scary, but the plot becomes weird and not easily followed. See more Nye N @nye2025 Jul 29, 2026 Characters in this movie frequently black out, and half way through I felt like I was going to also … not in a good way. It does get wilder near the end, with some better-than-expected visual/special effects, but the attempt at metaphor / social commentary was ultimately weak and the main story felt like it was produced in a random creative writing class. Much of the film felt amateur, except the special effects. Some actors were better than others. Definitely skippable for horror aficionados, but not entirely terrible either. 2.5 stars. See more Avindu G @RT86379654 Jul 24, 2026 Murky as the footage itself this eerie portrayal of the social subjugation is a trove of found footage techniques. Onscreen phone dialogues and interviews with unwary victims were incremental to the movie's premise. A wolf in guise, an entranced herd, a phantom in black, and the inquisitive siblings were perfect designs for this clever societal read. And the hearty work by the entire cast was instrumental for that task. From sophisticated monologues to easter eggs like the racial detail during the 911 call were noteworthy. This tale of breaking generational complicity is not just novel but inspirational. See more Read all reviews
