Years after the collapse of civilization, the tyrannical Immortan Joe enslaves apocalypse survivors inside the desert fortress the Citadel. When the warrior Imperator Furiosa leads the despot's five wives in a daring escape, she forges an alliance with Max Rockatansky, a loner and former captive. I don't know why Edward's was showing this movie on a Wednesday afternoon, but damn was I thrilled to see it again for the third time in theatres. One of my favorite films of all time, I got to bring a friend to see it, it being his first time seeing Fury Road in the cinema. I get that not all people connect with all things, but when you experience that connection, it can change who you are and how you view the world fundamentally. That's what a film like Fury Road does. Or at least has for me. Redemption. Love. Forgiveness. Faith. What was once lost is now found. I am forever grateful to George Miller and Co. for the wild ride, a story that will echo throughout the ages. Thank you George. Thank you wonderful people, created in the image and likeness of god. Through our suffering, because of it, may we find redemption, may we find forgiveness. May we find love. Godspeed.
