05/14/2020 An absolutely horrible movie that is completely disjointed from reality and tone deaf beyond comprehension. The writers should be ashamed of this film and its moral message. See more 07/31/2019 This is a WONDERFUL family movie (for older teens watching on their own or younger kids with parental supervision). I have watched this twice in the past two years, and I NEVER watch movies more than once. There is so much EVIL and just plain stupid/bad taste in movies these days. This is not one of those. See more 01/18/2016 If I might add my two cents, no one with a civilized sense of morality should find this movie "good" or "inspiring." Forget the deplorable pro-rape under/overtones, but the acting is sub-par, the symbolism is beyond obvious, and the "dilemma" is so simple it begs the question, "do the screenwriters honestly think their audience is this stupid?" On the worst part of the movie, I'd like to say this: yes, forgiveness is a virtue, and you might want to practice it in your life. The problem here lies in the fact that, as presented, the decision to forgive a rapist is the obvious choice and one you shouldn't think twice about. I personally know several people who have been the victims of rape, and never has forgiveness even entered their mind. This isn't something you can just wish away or talk through. The trauma that accompanies rape is crippling and this movie makes a mockery of it. In a moral sense, I think this may be the most barbaric movie I've ever seen. No one with a shred of dignity should ever admit they enjoyed the film or its central message (rape is okay because she'll forgive you and you get a kid out of it). Summary: terrible acting, bad cinematography, and the single worst message I've ever seen in a movie. This is a film that genuinely made me angry, and that takes quite a bit to do.
