David W @Sternhammer Feb 4, 2024 A watchable, if slow paced, low budget scifi with a decent enough plot and reasonable(ish) acting. The sets, costumes, special effects etc are all very low budget and look as though they were stolen from an early prototype version of Space 1999. Special mention must go to the synth sountrack which you'll either find endearing or simply plain irritating. It all feels a bit homespun and to think, given its production quality, it was actually made after the likes of Star Wars and Alien. It's certainly no classic but if like me you enjoy this genre and aren't in too discerning a mood then it'll pass some time happily enough. Fear the rocks :) See more delysid d @RT67044741 Apr 23, 2017 The Killings at Outpost Zeta is an obscure and strange film about a team of astronauts who go to a remote planet to find out what killed everyone there, and eventually they figure out it was these strange rock monsters. My favourite part of the film is the Erie electronic music played throughout. I quite enjoyed this one. Has an original Star Trek series feel with a good plot but cheap uniforms and sets. James A. Watson Jr. even gets "Special Guest Star" billing, perhaps for his occasional role at the time of this release as the Deputy DA on TV's Quincy. See more Oct 18, 2011 One of those films which is essentially bad but bordering on actually quite good for reasons you can't quite put your finger on. I love scifi. I think that with this film, the story is good and the dodgey way this has been made actually adds to the atmosphere. Worth a watch. See more Read all reviews
