It sits somewhere in the middle and feels very subpar at times. The story follows a killer terrorizing a town while nobody knows who is responsible. A young boy begins investigating after his father and several friends are murdered, and throughout the movie, you start wondering if the boy could be connected. I am not going to reveal whether that is the case, but there is a little twist and some story development. Unfortunately, it is not enough to make this a great horror movie. At times, it feels lackluster, and the momentum drops enough to hurt the entertainment value. I would not tell people to avoid it because it is not terrible. In the beginning, I thought it could become frightening and turn into a really good horror movie. It simply drops as it continues. It never becomes a complete disaster, but it loses enough momentum to feel more like a one-time watch than something I would revisit. I figured out the killer fairly quickly and some murders were just randomly thrown in there with no explanation. No explanation how/why the killer was even the killer.
