A year after narrowly escaping death at the hands of Michael Myers (Tyler Mane), Laurie Strode is at the breaking point, pushed to the edge by Dr. Loomis' (Malcolm McDowell) revelation that she's Michael's sister. Critics Consensus

Zombie shows flashes of vision in the follow-up to his Halloween reboot, but they're smothered by mountains of gore and hackneyed, brutal violence.

Extends this interest in psychology to Laurie Strode (played this time by Scout Taylor-Compton), plumbing the emotional and psychological connection between her and Michael.

Zombie remains committed to showing how violence lingers with, and perverts, all who are touched by it

At one point in the film, a character is accused of "profiteering off the miseries of others" and that is exactly what Zombie will do to you if you see this movie.

Gets weirder and more brutal than its predecessor, though is still bogged down by Rob Zombie's joyless cinematic sensibilities.

An ambitious, if flawed, sequel whose biggest accomplishment is having the most authentic portrayal of Final Girl PTSD ever seen in a horror film. (Director's Cut)

Halloween 2 has its problems, but the all-star cast is doing great work, and the film has a surprisingly nuanced consideration of Final Girl PTSD.

It's just very weird. Rob zombie tried to do way too much with this one. The atmosphere in this and the killings were good. Alot of the acting is very cringe worthy. Tyler mane is probably one the best cast Michael myers being 6'9 and dominantly scary looking. Didn't like the mask being ripped in half. I think they tried to expose too much. Outside of Tyler Mane the casting just sucked for this and Robs first Halloween. Just very odd. 2/5 stars for me.

What a waste of four dollars. The only good character is the stripper mom and she’s dead. She’s the only one zombie put any actual effort into. Laurie acts like a Lindsay Lohan character put into a horror movie. No disrespect to Lindsay Lohan.

Not impressed with Rob Zombie. He thinks he's deep and otherworldly, but seems like he never matured mentally. He's a hack.
