When much-feared hermit Felix Bush (Robert Duvall) comes to town with a wad of cash and announces his intention to preside over his own funeral, fast-talking mortician Frank Quinn (Bill Murray) smells a big payday in the air. Frank sends his young apprentice, Buddy, to charm Felix and win Felix's business. “Get Low” This film here is starring Robert Duvall and Bill Murray is another one of Robert defaul’s many performances that have not seen. Story about a man who wants to know what people really think about him but without giving too much away I’m gonna leave it at that. Sissy spacek also stars in this film and plays a very important role. I believe this film shows the diversity of not only Robert Duvall but also Bill Murray and Sissy spacek. It’s a lot of fun I think it’s one that you’ll enjoy and I highly recommend this film to all ages.

The cast provided top-notch portrayals of their characters. Duvall, Murray, Black, Spacek, McRaney, Cobb...all excellent in their telling of this unique story.

As everyone points out, this film has a superb cast. And the basic Faulkneresque idea that serves as a framework for the story is original and potentially rich with humor, drama and some very moving scenes. But the film has problems with pacing, character development, and dialog. And the story loses it's way in the 2nd half of the film and starts meandering. Bill Murray did a comendable job playing a character that doesn't quite know who he's supposed to be, a cynical, comic hustler or someone desperately in need of a little success. Ditto Bill Cobbs who does the best one could hope for playing a character who's so poorly thought out he ends up being superfluous to the story. I was left wondering if there were scenes relegated to the cutting room floor that could've helped helped flesh out the story and the characters. Overall a disappointment given the quality of the cast.
