Binary S Jan 30 Telling the familiar tale of "we’re getting the band back together, man!" - albeit with some interesting and unpredictable twists thrown in. Bonehead (writer/director Baz Black) does a commendable job in the lead role, which is more impressive when considering how truly difficult making an indie film can be. Bonehead truly embodies his name, as a heist gone wrong proves…he’s simply too sweet-natured to do anyone dirty, and pays with an arrest and hard time. Upon his release, he has a mission: his rowdy punk band Crust MUST start gigging again. The band is populated with former punks just trying to get on with it in the modern world, with varying levels of success, and it’s pretty clear that these mates were pretty wild once upon a time. Without giving too much away, they finally get back on stage, but there is a monkey in the wrench…. This one is well done on many levels. Solid acting from the entire cast, and with Baz Black leading the way, strong direction and production value. See more Ellie O 09/06/2024 The ‘Dublin Crust’ is a must watch. The great Irish humour is present from the start to the end. Superb performance by all actors, portrays Irish humanity in a dog eat dog world, amplifies the propensity to forgive and be forgiven. Loved it ! See more Read all reviews
