Detective Ujjwalan is a decent mix of mystery, comedy, and small-town charm. The atmosphere, period setting, some humour, and a few tense moments work well, but the mystery becomes predictable and the writing feels uneven. Dhyan Sreenivasan doesn't fully bring the detective to life either. Still, it's a watchable, easygoing mystery with some good ideas.
