What made this film a bit more interesting than most is that Ford enlists the help of a neighbor to help him rescue his family and doesn't realize his neighbor has ulterior motives for helping Ford. Beside Ford, the strong cast includes Arthur Kennedy, Dean Jagger, Paul Fix, Royal Dano, Barbara Babcock, and the always great Harry Dean Stanton. I would have scored it higher if not for the sucky ending. Bit of a depressing anticlimax.
