SIMON N Dec 19 This is a dreadful film. They could not even be bothered to film it in December. All the trees are green and the flowers are out. It is obviously March or April. The actors are so wooden you would be better making a chair out of them. The story line has very obviously been twisted to cater for an American audience, but I doubt it ended up pleasing anyone. See more Bill M Nov 28 Shockingly, and I mean shockingly bad! Some films are so bad they come full circle and you think, bad but watchable. This, however, is a straight line to the bottom of the cess pit. Acting reminiscent of a Year 1 Nativity. Christmas filmed in summer? The budget must have been tighter than a ducks backside. If you are going to superimpose fake snow at least get somebody to shred some polystyrene to chuck on the actors (I use the term actors lightly). How Tom Baker and Anita Dobson allowed themselves to take part, as it is hardly a pension booster, I shall never know. More fun watching a Rachel Reeve’s budget. See more Luise R Nov 24 Oh, dear - this was so bad it wouldn't even make a cult B movie - from the continuity of the green trees in December to to the extras in the background it was cringe and my heart went out to Colin Baker and Anita Dobson as they said their lines, possibly through gritted teeth. If however, there is an award for planning, writing and making a movie with only 2 known actors, a field and a village am dram company in one weekend then this is the one that will win. The actors sound like they have marbles in their mouths. The lightening is horrible and the movie looks washed out. What a waste of time. It falls way short with the abrupt ending. The story is about a large corporation looking to buy an old historic inn that has lost it's way. A romance between the owners daughter and the representative sent to buy the inn takes place without the representative telling her what he is there for. See more Read all reviews
