Adam Jones, former chef at one of Paris' premier restaurants, wants to turn his life around. After destroying his career with drug use and a manic drive for perfection, he is given another chance to fulfil his dreams of gaining three Michelin Stars. Returning to London, he assembles a crew to create one of the finest restaurants ever and gain the recognition he has always wanted in the culinary world, but the journey is certainly not an easy one.

It's all too familiar, too rudimentary, and while the kitchen they're working in is top-of-the-line the meal they ultimately prepare isn't that much better than a Denny's breakfast left under the heat lamps a few minutes too many.

I like movies about food and cooking, Mostly Martha was lovely and the American version with Catherine Zeta Jones was OK. 100 ft Journey was OK, but Burnt was predictable and a cliché with shouty chef throwing things about and a take off of Gordon Ramsey. Although I find haute cuisine nouvelle cuisine unappealing with a splot here and there with small portions at a ridiculous price. I do enjoy watching the food being prepared and how a brigade in a kitchen works. In real life so much food in this type of kitchen is wasted. I loved Cooper in Star, but this is not one of his best. The plot is predictable.

Good cast awful script and chopped up all over the place very dated for a 2015 film the characters motivations are impossible to get to grips with. Needed a car chase and some gun play

If you like shows like House M.D. or Elementary... Ignore the reviewers. You'll love this movie. I've been obsessed with it for years now. If spoilers weren't an issue I'd tell the lot of you exactly why. It's a good movie and a good story.

The negative reviews of this film confound me. Having worked with 3-star Michelin chefs/kitchens I can attest to the veracity of their representation herein; the culinary mastery of this picture stands alone as a true winner. Brad Cooper is splendid in his role as a bruised but not broken commodity; his French is excellent, and he inhabits the role with great authenticity, encompassing his bearing, his every movement in the kitchen. His relationships with Tony, his mandatory therapist, Rhys and every member of his staff ring true and meaningful.
