Jorge C @RT16660262 1d Admittedly, the first half hour is pretty slow and you’ll already see all the location the movie will take place in, a costume store. SFX are also kept pretty minimal, so visually speaking it may not be the most wow looking movie. Some of the jokes may not land for some. And your mileage may vary on the twist and ending. It’s gonna feel and look like a low budget indie movie, which it basically is. And that’s actually one of its strength. This is a fun and surprisingly well acted indie movie. The middle act where the main protagonist opens up about her past and the side character that works in the store ranting about her life and job. Those are really good scenes. The former especially reminding me of the scene from Jaws involving Quint, the shark hunter, monologue on surviving shark attacks for several days.
