Azhar is an interesting sports drama based on the life of cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. Emraan Hashmi delivers a solid performance and shows both the highs and lows of his career. The movie mixes cricket, personal struggles, and emotional moments well. The story keeps you engaged, though some parts feel dramatic. Overall, it is an entertaining watch for cricket fans.

"Azhar" doesn't fixate completely on the cricketer's personal or professional life. It is sheer Bolly-mash inspired from a few real-life incidents. There is neither the dramatic flair, nor the thrills. Songs are the only savior here (along with an okayish Emraan Hashmi), but they too did not necessarily drive the story any further and ended up as mere filler.
