For anyone who was a child of the 90's, you most likely remember Spielberg's Hook and how dynamic [Dante] Basco was, even as a teenager. Here, he's more a muted, girl dad. It's a different and more subtle performance that Asian American men rarely get.

Rented on Fandango for $3.99. Applaud the Director for partnering with ABS on getting this made. But…The casting. Off. The transitions. Off. The sound design. Off. Cinematography. Off. Basic things like conversations drowned out by the music. I appreciate the attempt, and I want to feel differently for the culture. But let’s be honest. This is a below mid movie and a major disappointment considering the Director’s resume.
