Retheesh S @RT33901561 02/02/2025 Imagine a scenario where a doctor needlessly treats a patient suffering from the common cold with six months of dialysis and eventually performs surgery. That’s how unnecessarily stretched and overcomplicated the plot of Am Ah: The first 20 minutes feature a documentary-style presentation by Jaffer Khan and Dileesh Pothan about the landscape and lifestyle of Idukki, but it was unclear what purpose this served. Dileesh Pothan and Jaffer Khan 'effortlessly' played 'themselves' throughout the film lol. Jaffer Khan seems to be following Shine Tom Chacko's style-forgetting to act. Then there is Devadarshini's character. The director may have intended her to represent maternal love or sacrifice, but the execution makes her appear either ultra-psycho or simply irritating. The character of the blind master (Aashan) still seems to be stuck in the 1980s, waiting for a bus. I won't say more to avoid spoilers. What could have been wrapped up in a 10-minute short film has been stretched into a full-length feature. . 2/5 See more Read all reviews
