SIMAS C @simas_eros 17 hrs ago A documentary that is more cryptic than enlightening regarding the theme of sexual emancipation in Portugal following the 25th of April, it nonetheless offers interesting moments that are sure to spark good debate. It is a pity that it remains confined to a rural setting—a small community where both Portuguese locals and foreigners look back on their youth in the 1970s through a mix of personal testimonies and reenactments—as this approach ends up reinforcing certain clichés and stereotypes. The direction is excellent, and the film serves as a highly valuable document for understanding the national mindset and history. See more Read all reviews
