Troy R @Grim16 5d I liked the concept of the upstanding police officer struggling with the supernatural. I also enjoyed the back and forth between Hobbes and the evil. However the rules of how the supernatural worked was very stupid and ultimately the most disappointing part of the story. A couple of not so great story parts with the Police Chief being odd and mistrusting of Hobbes. As well as the odd choice to not include the ex-cops daughter in the story more heavily. Denzel Washington, John Goodman, Donald Sutherland, Embeth Davidtz, Elias Koteas, James Gandolfini, and the rest of the cast did a great job in this movie. The plot of the movie was thrilling, dark, and unexpected. It's about dealing with a demon that can travel from person to person by touch and is killing innocent people. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's worth watching. It starts with an incredible mystery that keeps you entertained and wanting to know more, but as the revelation unfolds, it doesn't become as fun and believable, even though it knows how to play everything against the protagonist. This film is quite courageous and different in terms of genre clichés; I really like its bold ending.
