Abraham Lincoln is a startlingly superlative accomplishment. Go to Full Review Jonathan Rosenbaum Chicago Reader Aug 19, 2013
Working with the sort of mythic material later associated with John Ford, Griffith gives us a primordial Lincoln, perfectly incarnated by Walter Huston, and a dreamlike sense of destiny that his camera fully articulates. Go to Full Review Mordaunt Hall New York Times Aug 19, 2013

But still, this movie is very easy to understand even though it is from 1930. The death scene somehow startled me and I think D.W. Griffith did a good job. I rate 5 stars minus a half.
